There are three common forms of electroluminescence

Gas discharge light source has the following common characteristics:
(1) high luminous efficiency. D4101da-r is 2 to 10 times more efficient than incandescent lamps of the same wattage, so it has the characteristics of energy saving.
(2) compact structure. The electrodes can be made strong, compact, vibration-resistant, and shock-resistant because they do not emit light from the filament itself.
(3) long life. General than incandescent lamp life 2 ~ 10 times longer.
(4) strong light and color adaptability. Can vary over a wide range.
Because of the above characteristics, the gas discharge lamp has a strong competitiveness, so it develops quickly and is widely used in photoelectric measurement and lighting engineering. The types, properties and main application fields of common gas discharge lamps are listed. The luminescence phenomenon generated by solid luminescent materials under electric field excitation is called field luminescence. It is a process of converting electric energy into light energy directly. Therefore, it is also called electroluminescence. Devices made from this phenomenon are called electroluminescent devices, such as electroluminescent screens, light-emitting diodes, and semiconductor lasers.
There are three common forms of electroluminescence: junction electroluminescence (or injection electroluminescence), powder electroluminescence and thin film electroluminescence. There are many solid materials with electroluminescent properties, but the majority of them are ii-vi and iii-v compound semiconductors. Ii-vi compounds are both highly efficient photoluminescent and cathode-ray photomaterials and are currently the only powder and thin film electroluminescent materials used in practice. Iii-v luminescent materials are widely used in led applications. Therefore, injection semiconductor luminescent devices and powder electroluminescent screens are widely used at present, while in photoelectric detection technology, injection semiconductor luminescent devices are mainly used as the light source.
Powder electroluminescent light source
A fluorescent (or luminescent) material is excited by a strong enough electric field or current to emit light, forming an electroluminescent light source. According to the different excitation power, there are two kinds of ac and dc excitation.
